Louna at 2 and a half months

January 16, at 2 months and 1 week old, Louna started to suck her hand, or simply put her hand in her mouth. That's a sign that she starts to realize that she has two hands. I even saw her looking at her hands attentively, observing it very closely.

Louna trying to put her hand in her mouth while sleeping.

She also started cooing, saying arreuh arreuh and sometimes okoo okoo. Well, should I say that she's bilingual now? She's more communicative and smiles more often now. She stays awake longer hours during the day and sleeps more at night, which is a good rhythm not only for her, but also for us.

Yesterday, January 30, was her first day with her Nanny. She cried a bit, not sure if it's because the environment was new to her, or because we changed her milk. Anyways, when I went back in the afternoon, she was already smiling at her Nanny and did arreuh arreuh with us in the evening.

Everything's going great!!

2nd Month Visit

Today is Louna's 2nd month visit. What marks this visit is that she had 2 vaccins at the same time: Pentavac and HBVax 5 for Hepatitis B. Pentavac, as it's name implies, is a 5-in-1 vaccin for diphtérie, tétanos, coqueluche, poliomyélite and haemophilus influenzae B. These 2 vaccins will be repeated for her next 2 visits to the pediatrician.

Louna was amazingly calm inspite of the 2 vaccins, thanks to the patch which served as an anaesthesia. That truly worked!

Louna now weighs 5.7 kg and measures 61 cm. Her head diameter is now 38.5 cm. She's actually big for her age. She could be mistaken for a 4 month kid. That's how big she is.

Now, at 2 months, let me show you her different facettes...
